Ed Wagner was born in Dallas Texas where he graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BBA in Finance. After college Ed worked for two Fortune 100 companies before attaining his Texas Real Estate License in 1991. He has been active in the real estate profession ever since.

Wendy grew up in Nacogdoches, Texas and attended Tyler Junior College for a degree in Nursing. She worked in Geriatrics, Oncology, and Clinical Nursing over her career. After nursing, she helped build Circle E Candles and moved with the company from Tyler to Mason and finally to Fredericksburg, where it has become a destination and draw for tourists and locals.
Wendy’s real passion is in homes and home construction. She has designed, built, and remodeled homes from under $200,000 to several million dollars, so she understands what brings value to homes and properties. She is a member of the Central Hill Country Board of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
Wendy works with her husband and partner in life, Glen Voorhees. She is also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Glen grew up in El Paso, Texas and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock for his BBA in Accounting as well as an MBA. Out of college he worked as a CPA and Audit Manager with a rotation in Tax for KPMG Peat Marwick. Specialized in Mortgage Servicing Companies as well as SEC and manufacturing companies. He has the financial experience and expertise needed for your real estate transactions.
After KPMG, he was an Area Franchisee for Mail Boxes Etc./The UPS Store. He gained over 15 years of commercial real estate, site selection, and lease negotiation experience for the franchise as well as construction management skills. He helped grow from an area of five stores to own/manage an area of over 140 locations through sales and acquisition efforts. He helped negotiate and sold the business to United Parcel Service. Lara Nixon is a native of Fredericksburg and a third generation REALTOR® who combines her background in merchandizing, management, education and leadership with her passion for the real estate industry. Lara began in retail sales and later moved to a management position for a local retail store, then applied her talents in decorating to her own retail merchandizing business to promote local store sales. Her interest in education took her to the Austin area where she spent 15 years working with children after receiving her degree in education from Texas State University and later completing her master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. In 2016, Lara and her husband, Sam Rivera, returned to their hometown of Fredericksburg, she acquired her Real Estate license and joined the family firm.
Lara Nixon is a member of the Central Hill Country Board of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. She is an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church and has been a licensed foster parent with Family Link Foster and Adoption Agency for 3 years. Lara and her husband have had the privilege of parenting and loving 20 foster children through this ministry, as well as raise their two biological children. She is the proud parent of a junior at Tarleton State University and a freshman at Fredericksburg High School. Lara hopes to inspire more Fredericksburg residents to take a leap of faith and support foster and adoption efforts in the Texas Hill Country.

Vicky Duecker has been working with Nixon Real Estate & Rental Service since April. Before getting her real estate license, she helped Marian with the rentals by doing the bookwork needed, and currently does the same, along with showing rental prospects the current homes available for rent.
Before joining Nixon Real Estate, Vicky worked at the Kerrville Title Company as a receptionist, Title policy Clerk, Abstractor, and Closing Assistant. She previously worked at American Bank of Texas in the bookkeeping department, credit department and as a mortgage loan processor
After hours and on weekends, she is a Personal Chef, cooking at various Bed and Breakfast homes at guest request, and also cooks at a hunting lodge in West Kerr County.
Vicky has been happily married to Larry Duecker for 11 years, and has a daughter and son-in-law with three delightful grandsons of which she is very proud of. In addition to her love for cooking, her hobbies include reading and collecting cookbooks, cooking, crocheting and cross stitching. She enjoys people and finding what fits their needs and makes them happy. Marian Nixon grew up in Fredericksburg, attended Sul Ross University for her BS in Education, and then returned to her hometown to start a family and begin her teaching career, as well as help with the family peach orchards. Marian began her real estate career as a sales agent in 1973, and then along with her husband Vic and father-in-law, they opened Nixon Real Estate in 1977. Marian added her broker’s license in 1978 and assisted her husband Vic in taking over the family firm. With over 40 years experience in real estate, she has specialized knowledge in residential real estate. Marian started Nixon Real Estate Rentals in the 1980’s, specializing in property management, and oversees well over a 100 residential and commercial rentals in the Fredericksburg area.
Marian is a member of the Central Hill Country Board of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, the Better Business Bureau, and the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce. Marian has taken on many leadership roles within the community and is proud to have been an integral part of the inception of the Gillespie County Board of Realtors.
